nuiMO Inspired Plush

nuiMOs are a line of tiny posable Disney plush that have lots of clothing and accessories. I have 2 nuiMO inspired patterns: one with more traditional nuiMO proportions and one chubby version.

My nuiMO inspired plush are made from mochi minky with sublimation (fabric dyeing), applique, and embroidered details, plastic safety eyes, jointed and wired bodies, magnetic hands, and a magnetic booty for riding on your shoulder!

The traditional nuiMO pattern can more easily fit into nuiMO clothes and accessories. The chubby version can fit into tops but not pants. They can also fit into some 20cm K-Pop/idol doll clothes (dresses and sweaters).

Pricing

Due to increasing demand and to simplify my commission process, I no longer give out quotes. Instead, please find a price guide below. Most characters will fit into this range. You may try to determine which category your character fits into by seeing how many of the features your character has. This guide is not binding, and your price may differ. If your project is chosen during my commission application window you will receive the final price. At that point you can accept or reject the commission.

Prices do not include clothing. I am unlikely to accept commissions for nuiMO clothing due to their size and complexity.

Simple Characters: $400 - $500+
  • 1 or 2 colors with minimal color transitions or markings
  • Little to no faux fur or mochi minky details
  • No additional feature like wings, horns, spikes, etc.
  • Simple hair design (e.g. bald, single colored mohawk, etc.)​​

Average Complexity Characters: $500 - $800+
  • 3-4 colors with a moderate amount of color transitions, stripes, or spots
  • Some faux fur details beyond a simple mohawk hair style
  • One additional feature like wings, horns, spikes, etc.
  • Simple to medium complexity hair design (from bald or single colored mohawk to individual pieces like bangs, long hair, multi-colored hair, etc.)

Extremely Complex Characters: $800-$1,000++
  • 5+ colors with a heavy amount of color transitions, stripes, spots, etc. (i.e. tigers, leopards, jaguars, etc.)
  • Several faux fur details
  • Several additional features like wings, horns, spikes, etc.
  • Complex hair design (individual pieces like bangs, long hair, multi-colored hair, etc.)​

Details

These plushies are made from soft mochi minky, which is a short-pile fur fabric.
Details are made with a mix of sublimation and embroidery. Sublimation is a complex fabric dyeing process and I cannot perfectly achieve every color in existence. Sublimation will be used for the majority of details to maintain the softness and stretch of the fabric. Depending on the face's design, it may be made with either sublimation or embroidery.
While sublimation gets very deep into the fibers of the fabric, the base color may show through a bit on seams.
Paw pads will be made with applique. Claws are made from double-sided mochi and are strictly 2D.
Eyes are plastic safety eyes. They can be spray painted a custom color, but dark colors look best.
Hair can be made from faux fur or mochi minky. For complex hair designs, custom hair may be wefted for your plush.
On the chubby pattern the arms are jointed with plastic safety joints. The legs and tail are wired with plastic coated wire so the plush can sit or stand. The plush can stand on its own if it has a long tail. The hands contain magnets for holding objects or clasping hands. The head is jointed so it can be rotated.
On the skinny pattern the arms, legs, and tail are wired with plastic coated wire so the plush can sit or stand. The plush can stand on its own if it has a long tail. The hands contain magnets for holding objects. Due to the length of the arms and strength of the wire, they cannot clasp hands. The head is jointed so it can be rotated.
The plush contain a pouch with a magnet in the butt so they can ride on your shoulder. I will also send a pouch with a larger magnet that you can safety pin to your clothes.

The plushies can fit into various nuiMO and 15cm/20cm K-Pop/idol doll clothing. Here is my recommendation by pattern type:

Skinny pattern
  • nuiMO clothing
    • Shirts, sweaters, shoes, jackets, overalls: yes
    • Hoodies:  hood will not fit over head
    • Pants: elastic may need to be released from waistband
    • Hats: depends on style/fit
    • Clothing will not completely close in the back
  • 15cm K-Pop/idol doll clothing
    • Shirts: yes, may be loose
    • Knitted sweaters: yes
    • Pants, shoes, hoodies: no
    • Dresses: yes
  • 20cm K-Pop/idol doll clothing
    • Shirts: will be large
    • Knitted sweaters: yes
    • Pants: yes, as long as they are stretchy
    • Hats, anything with a hood: no, k-pop doll heads are much larger
    • Dresses: will be large
    • Shoes: yes

Chubby pattern
  • nuiMO clothing
    • Shirts, sweaters, jackets: tops with elastic sleeves preferred. Can squeeze into these, but arms will T-pose
    • Overalls: no
    • Shoes: yes
    • Hoodies:  tops with elastic sleeves preferred. Can squeeze into these, but arms will T-pose. Hood will not fit over head
    • Pants: elastic needs to be released from waistband
    • Hats: depends on style/fit
