General FAQ
What sewing machine do you use?
I use a Brother SE1900 which does both sewing and embroidery.
What fabric do you use?
I use high quality smooth minky, mochi minky (Squishmallow material), and faux fur. My favorite brand for smooth minky is Shannon cuddle 3. I use both JoAnn's pure plush fleece and Hopen Textile's mochi minky. I use a variety of different brands for faux fur. For recommendations on where to purchase fabric check out my resources page.
Can I have your pattern?
No. I do not give out or sell my patterns under any circumstance.
I want to learn how to make plushies! Do you have any advice?
Start out by watching my video on advice for starting the hobby and check out my resources page for fabric suppliers, tutorials, and more!
When will commissions open?
Commission openings are TBD. I do not take commissions on a first-come, first-serve basis.
You can check my queue on Trello for a projected timeframe. You can also sign up for a mailing list to be notified.
Quotes are no longer provided due to increasing demand and to simplify my commission process. You can view my price guide here.
How do you choose your commissions? Is there anything I can do to increase my chance of being selected?
I choose projects that I would like to make the most to help prevent burnout. There are certain things I look for when choosing a commission that include, but are not limited to:
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! For all clients, 50% of the cost of your plush is due at the time your commission begins.
For those needing a payment plan:
In addition, I may place clients needing a payment plan at the end of my queue to provide additional time to save up.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! As long as there are no restrictions due to COVID.
How much is shipping? What shipping method do you use?
I live in Florida, so it depends on how far away you are. For anthro plush, shipping costs typically range from $20-$60. For large floppy plush, shipping costs can be $50+ domestically. Animal Crossing plush range from $15-$30.
I default to using USPS, but it's ultimately up to the client, since they are the ones that pay for shipping. If you have concerns about using USPS please let me know.
Can you make a plush for my child?
My plushies are not intended to be toys for children. While the vast majority of the parts on my plush are machine sewn, they are meant for light cuddling and display due to having delicate hand-sewn pieces.
How do I wash my plush?
My plush must be hand washed or spot cleaned. DO NOT PUT THEM IN A WASHING MACHINE.
I recommend following this tutorial by ButtercupBabyPPG, but do NOT put them in a dryer:

Will you make NSFW plush?
No.
Can you make a bulk order of plushies?
No, I am not a manufacturer.
What are your Terms of Service?
Please see them here. By commissioning me you are agreeing to my TOS.
How involved will I be in the process?
My primary goal is for my client to be happy. If you have specific requests, please let me know up front when applying for a commission. I can try my best to accommodate them but some requests may not be possible.
I begin the majority of OC commissions by sending my clients samples of minky within the range of their character's colors (the only exceptions have been when the color choice is obvious, or if my client lives outside of the US and it's impractical to send swatches). This way you can pick the colors without having to worry about differences in color display from monitors.
If I'm unsure about a detail on the plush I will ask my client. Eye designs are sent to clients for approval before being created. I encourage you to check out one of my plush writeups of my anthro plush, which shows the process of making one.
I know how important these characters are to my clients and it's important to me to be respectful of them!
How do you handle revisions?
I prefer to handle revisions by preventing revisions. If I'm unsure about any aspect of the plush I will contact my client before proceeding. I post progress pictures on my Twitter and also on Trello. If you see something wrong, please contact me ASAP. The longer you wait the more I will have to redo.
If we have agreed upon something and you change your mind, I will have to charge for the rework. The amount would depend on how much has to be redone.
Please review my Terms of Service for more information on revisions.

I choose projects that I would like to make the most to help prevent burnout. There are certain things I look for when choosing a commission that include, but are not limited to:
- A character, design, or idea that translates well to plush form
- A clear reference sheet from all angles
- Bonus points if the reference sheet is specifically for the character in a physical object/plush form
- A project that allows for a variety of materials can be used (e.g. faux fur and mochi minky details)
- Designs that are not overly complex (e.g. excessive markings, gradients, small details)
- A friendly and understanding client
- For non-OCs:
- A character that I have not made before
- A character from an IP I enjoy
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! For all clients, 50% of the cost of your plush is due at the time your commission begins.
For those needing a payment plan:
- A 2nd invoice will be sent after the deposit is paid that will allow you to pay off the remainder without minimum payments or interim due dates
- This way, you can begin paying off your plush while it is in progress
- Remainder must be paid off 3 months after your plush is finished
- This effectively makes the payment plan longer since the invoice is sent before the 3 month clock begins
- A 3rd invoice for the cost of shipping will be sent once the plush is paid off
In addition, I may place clients needing a payment plan at the end of my queue to provide additional time to save up.
