Sewing little tiny pieces is a big pain, and unfortunately all too common in plush-making. They get pulled in the feed dogs and are difficult to maneuver the foot around. This was kind of a ‘duh’ moment for me when I realized how to do this the easy way. Many people have probably already figured this out, but maybe there are some that don’t know! Instead of cutting out the tiny piece, just cut a bigger piece of fabric and trace the pattern onto that. It’s a bit more wasteful but these pieces are so small, it’s not too bad. Just sew on the seam allowance line, trim the piece down, and you’re done! Much easier!
If you are making many small pieces, like claws, you can follow this technique that uses an embroidery machine: makeshiftwings30.tumblr.com/post/72589101325/magnastorm-dotdollplushies-used-the If you'd like to see more tutorials or have a request for one in particular, let me know!
