Plush Making Tutorial - Sewing Small Pieces

Sewing little tiny pieces is a big pain, and unfortunately all too common in plush-making. They get pulled in the feed dogs and are difficult to maneuver the foot around.

This was kind of a ‘duh’ moment for me when I realized how to do this the easy way. Many people have probably already figured this out, but maybe there are some that don’t know!

​Instead of cutting out the tiny piece, just cut a bigger piece of fabric and trace the pattern onto that. It’s a bit more wasteful but these pieces are so small, it’s not too bad.

Just sew on the seam allowance line, trim the piece down, and you’re done! Much easier!
